Privacy Policy
This page explains what OutgrowX collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything is unclear, email hi@outgrowx.com.
What we collect
When you sign up on outgrowx.com
- Your email address.
- Where you came from: a link tag such as ?ref=x, campaign tags, and the name of the site that sent you.
- A scrambled, keyed version of your IP address, used only to stop the same network from sending lots of sign-ups. We never store the IP address itself.
- When you signed up, and whether our welcome email went out.
When you sign in with X
- Your X account id, username, display name and profile picture.
- The access X gives OutgrowX for your account. It is stored encrypted on our server, never sent to your browser, and you can remove it at any time in X under Settings, Security and account access, Apps and sessions.
When you use the app
- Your drafts, scheduled posts and settings.
- Data we read from X for your account through X's official API: your own posts and their numbers (views, likes, replies), your follower count, and the posts that Discover finds for you. Search results may be kept for a short time so repeat searches don't cost another API call.
- How many posts, searches and suggestions you use, so the daily limits work.
When you pay
Stripe handles payment. We never see or store your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription ids, your plan, and whether you are in a trial, paying or cancelled.
The Chrome extension
The extension scores posts inside your browser, using only what X already loaded for you. Its scores and the replies it records stay in your browser's own storage and are never sent to us or anyone else.
Visits to outgrowx.com
We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. When you are signed in, we use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To run OutgrowX: sign you in, publish what you choose to post or schedule, show your analytics and suggestions.
- To send you emails you asked for: the sign-up confirmation, sign-in and billing emails, and news about OutgrowX.
- To bill you, prevent abuse, and keep the service working within X's rules and costs.
We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.
AI suggestions
When you ask Assist for suggestions or reply ideas, we send your draft, and a few of your own recent posts so the suggestions sound like you, to Anthropic, the company behind Claude. It is used only to write those suggestions. Nothing is posted until you choose a suggestion and post it yourself.
Who helps run OutgrowX
These companies process data for us, only to provide the service:
- X Corp: sign-in, and reading and posting through the X API
- Vercel: hosting the website and app, and the visit counts
- Supabase: the database, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt)
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions
- Resend: sending emails
- Anthropic: AI suggestions
- Cloudflare: the outgrowx.com domain and our email inbox
How long we keep it
- Sign-ups: until you ask us to delete them. If you unsubscribe, we keep your address marked as unsubscribed so you are never emailed again, unless you ask us to delete it completely.
- Accounts: until you delete your account or ask us to. We then delete your data within 30 days, except billing records that the law requires us to keep.
Your choices and rights
- Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- You can remove OutgrowX's access to your X account in X's settings at any time.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing hi@outgrowx.com. If you live in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to object and to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
OutgrowX is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change matters for how your data is used, we tell signed-in users by email before it applies.
